Moulaye was born in a small town in Senegal, West Africa and came to the United States to play basketball at the age of 16 without knowing a word of English. He was a recipient of a full athletic scholarship from the University of Kansas basketball program, where he played in the Final Four. Unfortunately his professional basketball career was stinted after a major back injury. Thankfully, Moulaye was quick to overcome adversity and earned his MBA in Finance at KU. Fast-forward to present day and he has proven himself to be a success story as a renowned financial officer at Dimensional Fund Advisors.

Moulaye’s story walks us through the journey from being a young boy in Africa with a dream, to playing in the NCAA Championship game, to his current navigation in the world of finance. He leveraged trust, guidance, and good advice from many advocates as he advanced to the success he is today. Through the night, he will highlight that guidance while drawing parallels to the way he sees advisors and investors working together.
